In a world filled with choices and competing voices, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or lost when considering the path to salvation. Yet, the Bible offers a clear and peaceful assurance: salvation is found in no one else but Jesus. This truth brings comfort and clarity, reminding us that the cornerstone of our faith is secure and unchanging. As we journey together, may we find rest in the certainty that no other name under heaven can save us but His.
Let us pause and open our hearts to the profound simplicity of this promise, allowing it to deepen our trust and inspire a quiet confidence in God’s saving grace.
Today’s Saving Grace of God
Acts 4:12 (NIV)
“Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Reflection
Christ has been crucified, but His miracles just keep coming by way of His disciples. Peter and John have just healed a crippled man in the name of Jesus. Now the authorities are demanding to know by whose power the man was healed. I can’t help but think they might be getting a little nervous. They thought they had finally rid themselves of that bothersome, troublemaking man named Jesus of Nazareth, but for some reason, even after death, He was still causing problems.
It makes me giggle a little and maybe even do a bit of happy dancing. Death could not hold my Jesus. The grave had no choice but to release Him. Everything He said is happening. Our Savior lives!! If I were one of the ones who rejected Him, I would probably be stressing out a bit at this point. Now would be a good time to hit those knees in prayer!!
Although Jesus was once rejected by many, He has become the essential foundation of our faith. His name carries a unique and life-giving power, offering salvation that no other name can provide. This singular truth invites us to lean fully into the hope and security found in Him alone.
As we reflect, we can consider how this assurance shapes our daily lives and relationships. How might embracing this truth more deeply bring peace amid uncertainty or challenge?
Short Prayer
Lord Jesus, I want to jump for joy knowing you defeated the grave and one day soon, you will return, glorious and victorious, to bring an end to sin once and for all. Thank You for laying down Your life to free me from sin. Thank You for being the cornerstone of my life. Help me to trust fully in Your name, knowing that salvation and hope come through You alone. Guide my heart to rest in Your grace and to share Your love with others gently and faithfully. In Your glorious name, I pray. Amen.
Reflection Question
In what ways can I more fully rest in the assurance that salvation is found only in Jesus?
Closing Encouragement
Remember that the foundation of your faith is unshakable because it rests on Jesus, the cornerstone. When doubts or fears arise, return quietly to His name, where true salvation and peace dwell. Let this truth be a gentle anchor for your soul each day.
